Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talked to player via FaceTime – 18 y/o ready to play for Man United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke to new signing Amad Diallo Traore via FaceTime and told he’s a part of the club’s future and ready to play for United. [source: Fabrizio Romano via Here We Go podcast]

United are in love with Traore and he felt he was dreaming when United approached his agents. Romano is also convinced that United believe him to be the second or the third best U-18 player in the world.

Traore is set to arrive at Old Trafford in January after work permits are allowed. He’ll complete his medical and is expected to join the first-team after high praise from United boss.

The 18-year-old Ivorian right-winger has played just 25 minutes of league football – but is one of the hottest prospects of the world-class Atalanta academy. The deal for him is estimated to be worth around €30m + add-ons.

Atalanta captain Papu Gomez compared him to his international teammate Lionel Messi:

He’s a future star, trust me. During our trainings he seems like Messi! You can’t stop him”
