Pellegrini quickly into the bitter swing of things

PelllegriniYou really couldn’t make up some of the stories gifted to us by Manchester City Football Club or by their bitter fans.

The latest Bertie to make us laugh is newly appointed Manuel Pellegrini who openly admitted today that “I know that the most important thing for all the (City) fans is to beat Manchester United

Installed as manager mainly due to his record of never being beaten by Manchester United in four attempts (despite never scoring against us either), Pellegrini appears to have quickly taken to his new clubs philosophy of ‘The only thing that matters is we beat Man Utd’.

What’s the most important thing that matters to you this season? How far down the list of your priorities is ‘beating City’? Over to you Reds.

Agree with ‘Super Jew’, you really are a muppet and you play yourself into the hands of every reasonable football supporter. First of all you placed the word ‘City’ into the article to create a platform for yourself. However, if you don’t believe that beating City is important, then you may find it hard to win the League this season. Pellegrini sees the importance of beating United, not just for City fans but all the other clubs that want to win the title, as it may be the difference between winning the title or not. What’s wrong with that? I find it interesting that someone who creates a blog to rant about City, has the audacity to call the City fans bitter lol. And to have a have a go at Pellegrini, who, by all accounts, is a real gentleman, is a bit rich considering United and its fans wouldn’t know a gentleman if he smacked them in the mouth. Grow up!

It never used to matter (only to the minority of us who live in Manchester and have to put up with them) but now it matters for all of us : get past them lot and we win the league.

‘Installed as manager mainly due to his record of never being beaten by Manchester United in four attempts’ – Really? I wonder where you dreamt that one up from…
As for bitter, your post sounds slightly more bitter to me and misguided by your red-tinted specs. I don’t think that he meant beating United in the derby games, only to beat them to the title. You say ‘You really couldn’t make up some of the stories gifted to us by Manchester City Football Club or by their bitter fans’ but this is kind of a non-story really, surely you can do better than that, right?

*Note to self: Must try harder*

    Surely he’s complimenting United?

If he said “I don’t care what United get up to, they’re insignificant and no big deal, Chelsea are our main rivals with Mourinho”, then you could feel insulted.

Just take his words for what they are, a recognition of the exciting rivalry between the two clubs.

Do you not have great banter with the City fans in the area of Manchester where you live? It’s part of the fun of it isn’t it to have local pride at stake, he’s just getting into the spirit of it all ready for the new season.
