Play Like Fergie’s Boys

Play Like Fergie's BoysWith the new season upon us and the genuine intrepidation we all undoubtedly feel towards United’s new era, here’s a chance to find out what journalists and bloggers expect from 2013/14 to ensure you’re not alone.

Authored by Doron (@DoronSolomon) and Edited by Scott (@R_o_M), this pre-season ebook has contributions from Noz @beardedgenius, Lucia @roughestatedate, Callum @callum_th, Darren @darrenrichman plus Scott and Doron themselves while Danny Taylor (The Guardian), Henry Winter (The Telegraph), Ollie Holt (The Mirror), Mark Ogden (The Telegraph) also have their say.

Scott poses each contributor with a series of questions we’re all keen to know the answers to, and while only time will tell for sure what the answers will be, each contribution is interesting and compelling.

For example. When asked ‘What is Wayne Rooney’s problem?‘ Mark Ogden says “To be blunt, Fergie. It was obvious last season that their relationship had broken down, despite the denials and Rooney being dropped against Real Madrid was pretty much a declaration of war.”

Callum was asked “What have you made of pre-season?” to which he responded “Everyone knows that we are under-strength in various departments, with midfield a major priority. Moyes himself readily admits that. So, in my opinion our season will be defined in the transfer market, not on the training ground or during the various friendlies.”

The book is very reasonably priced when you consider the time and effort that must have gone in to producing such an in-depth and well constructed pre-season article. It can be purchased here via Amazon.

The book is well worth a read despite the glaring omission of a RedRants perspective – Maybe next year eh, Scott?!
