Possebon Heads for Santos Exit

United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon is set to join Brazilian club Santos. The deal is still in progress and is expected to be completed on Friday 20 August, but the two-times FIFA Club World Cup winners are keen to herald Possebon’s imminent arrival.

The once promising midfielder was never really the same since his injury due to Pogatetz’ horror tackle. It may be said that his short-lived spell at SC Braga in Portugal didn’t do him any good either. A shame, but here’s hoping he’s carves out a nice career for himself with Santos.

Ha…you are so funny with your Anderson loathing…I love Anderson..I don’t know why…he doesn’t have a feathery touch or that Brazilian flair and he doesn’t even score goals..but I love the fat…there is something about him…tenacious, he doesn’t back down and he has a drive that I have only seen in Fletch in our midfield …he has put the likes of Gerrard and Fibreglass in his poket in some big games…I admit it …I love Anderson even though based on stats I really shouldn’t πŸ˜›

Rooney apparently out of the fulham game tomorrow.

Would be good to see hernandez get a start with berba, who appear to have a bit of chemistry between them. But knowing fergie and some of his decisions he’ll go with owen up top on his own.
Hoping for a good win tomorrow though. This is not the same fulham side as last year, its still hodgsons team with hughes trying to make it his own. In time hughes will build a very good team, but right now it is not it, and i would really expect us to turn them over tomorrow.
But im probably being too optimistic for once. Come tomorrow it will be back to the nevilles, parks, carricks of this team, and we will have to endure yet another bore fest.
God as much as i hate the batards i really do admire the way chelski tear apart teams until the final whistle. Too much of our game is just plodding it about and settling for a 2-0.
After being humiliated though twice to a team imo we should always be beating comfortably in fulham, im hoping tomorrow we turn them over and give them a footballing lesson.

The team i would like to see:

Unlikely though, as i say it will be back to the bore fest of neville, carrick and park.
My prediciton. Pain. πŸ˜† Only joking, erm 2-1 to us. Not great to watch, but at this point i guess its just about getting the 3 points to fergie.

Giggs and Scholes have one foot out the foor to the pensioners..ha know they won’t play every game or even the whole game so you can almost exclude them…same with hargo…we still do have a much as i like Ji-Sung’s occasional big goals I really would like to see him being phased out..I suspect its as much of a squad camaraderie thing with him and Evra being best mates…he is 29 has been a great servant but I would like to see the likes of Cleverly and Gibson grow in stature and see his role diminished…Obertan and Bebe are projects who will get limited time although I’d love to see them step in….if you look at those Arsenal players most of them are full internationals who would not take as kindly to sitting in the bench so I think Wenger has more of a squad selection headache than fergie does..but I agree we do still have a ton…

Rooney’s out of tomorrows game with a stomach bug. Berba Hernandez up top?

    21 August 2010 at 23:36

@Grognard: There’ll come a day when they can’t get it in, and they’d have swapped each of these massive wins for a 1-0.

It’s very easy to score goals when teams lie down, but I think we’re better at breaking defensive teams down than Chelsea are.

@Grognard: It could be mis direction from Fergie, but it’s come from a Gaurdian journo on twitter, and also I see no reason for Fergie to try and pull something like this. Against Citeh r Liverpool maybe, wind em up. But Fulham?

@Grognard: Didn’t really help mate. πŸ˜› I’ve been in more of a “Behind these hazel eyes” and “Here without you” mood. But getting over it with my mates, just needa gain some perspective. Now Eminem has taken over my mind, with “No Love” and “Almost Famous”. Just check this shit out:

Look at these rappers, how I treat them
So why the fuck would I join them when I beat them
They call me a freak because
I like to spit on these pussies fore I eat them
Man, get these whack cocksuckers off stage
Where the fuck is Kanye when you need him?
Snatch the mic from β€˜em, bitch I’mma let you finish in a minute
    Yeah the rap is tight
But I’m tryna spit the greatest verse of all time
So you might want to go back to the lab tonight and um
Scribble out them rhymes you were going to spit
And start over from scratch and write new ones
But I’m afraid that it ain’t gonna make no difference
When I rip this stage and tear it in half tonight

@Grognard: Yeah me too. Tbh i kind of hope he is out of tomorrows game. The guy just doesnt seem anywhere near the rooney we all know and love. I still dont think he looks match fit tbh. I say if hes not 100%, dont play him. Last season too many times he didnt look 100% we had to play him because apart from rooney, our team was going to drop a lot of points.
Now its not like me to get easily excited about players based solely on pre season games, but i really do like the look of hernandez and think he will be a quality player.
So if like i believe, rooney isnt 100%, then rest him and give hernandez a couple of games. Seems to make sense to me anyway, but with fergie you know its not that black and white with him.
I expect we’ll see rooney back tomorrow, still not at 100%, struggling to make an impact. And to me his lack of form goes all the way back to the game against bayern in march where he was rushed back.
That and the fact that i believe fatigue played its part.
I think now that we have hernandez though, it is a chance to rest wayne every now and then to avoid this situation. History shows he suffers an injury each season, so lets not over use him so that he doesnt suffer as he is now.
Same with evra. The guy was way over used last season (think he played every game in the PL) and as a result when it came to the business end of the season his body couldnt last, and as a result his form worsened.
Weve got fabio, who imo is a fantastic young LB, who can easily do a job against the blackpools and wolves of this world. Give the kid a chance and rest the key players like rooney and evra when you can.
That cost us last season imo. Fergie continued to play those 2 until they became so fatigued their form suffered. It shouldnt happen with such a large squad, especially with a few good young players who can play in their respective positions.
Fergie doesnt see this though. I expect we’ll continue to see rooney play and struggle, and possibly pick up a long term injury because the manager over uses him. This all goes back to the bayern game, and it hurt us then and it may well hurt us now.

For the first time in my life, I have somewhat faith in Berbatov. πŸ˜† It feels weird! Hope he doesn’t make me regret it, cause he has done it too many times already. If Rooney really is out, I want to see Owen and Berba up front, with Chico coming on after a while. Rafael MUST play, as well as Carrick just because of match practise. Probably gonna see Tony and Park on the wings as well. πŸ˜€ You know, rarely am I confident going into this kind of game. Meeting Everton, Spurs, West Ham and now Fulham usually makes me nervous before games, I’m not really filled with confidence. But there is just something about this season… We’ll se lads, but I have a really good feeling about this term!
