  1. Christ, you can see why people are saying this is one of the worst united sides in recent memory. Getting absolutely played off the park to sodding wigan 😯 🙄
Half time cant come quick enough.

  2. The Jones-Valencia partnership has been absolutely, where the fuck is Rafael? He’s been immense lately, I know Fabio has a knock but where’s his brother??

    • @RedDevilEddy: Mate this is nothing but pure Fergie tinkering, just get a fantastic partnership going with Rafael and Valencia, and Fergie meddles again 🙄 .

      • @Craig Mc: There isn’t even a reason to flippin’ rotate, we’ve got two consecutive home games coming up before the City game and the home straight!

        Ridiculous.

  3. after the 1st half performance,i think fergie might regret playing giggs tonight.absolute disgrace.

  4. What the hell do you guys expect with Giggs in MF – he and Rooney give the ball away PERSISTENTLY, and that is every game persistently. Giggs is no MF, and Wigan should be one up!

  5. Don’t worry guys, I’m back from my meeting and watching the game. United to win it!!!!

  6. Getting. Walloped by wigan! Shows what old man scholesy brings to the table. Jones has looked mediocre the past few months after a great first half to the season

  7. Hmmm… Nani on for ROoney… I am confused… did he suck in the first half?

  8. Rooney off, yet giggs stays on 😡
We all know giggsy is one of fergies favourites, but this is taking the piss and really doesnt send out the right message to the rest of the squad ie- certain players regardless of form are undroppable.

  9. Jones has 0 technique. Just brute force tackling, crossing, and running. No elegance… I am no longer smitten by his exuberance.

  10. This is so similar as our Bilboa game. Wigan looking like Bilboa and UNited outplayed

  11. Christ this team is just completely incapable of making more than half a dozen passes without losing the ball.
Wigan can keep possession, swansea can keep possession.
Why the fuck cant we 👿
Every pass that does manage to come to a united player is usually a back pass or side pass anyway, with everything coming from the flanks, which is easy to defend against in the end.
How the hell are we top of the league?

    • @tonymontanna4united: because we have Paul Scholes…

This team has been disgraceful and I only watched 2nd half. We have been hustled by Wigan. We lose every 50/50 and cannot keep the ball. In fact, we cannot cope with pressure and just give the ball away due to our poor technique and ball control.

What I don’t understand is how our players manage to all suck at the same time… as if our ability to pass and communicate dissolves at the same time for EVERY player. Is it all about Scholes? Is it fatigue (midweek games and ECL have borne the same rotten fruit)? Is it a false mindset of inevitability of the results… did these players think it is all over??? Only fans are allowed to cheer, because we are not professional fans… we have other jobs to be professional in.

      👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿

      • @Opti: Combine Sunday’s results and how much we’d historically dominated Wigan before today, and it was a recipe for a trap…and they fell right into it.

We’ve had surprising late-season slipups on the way to a few of our most recent titles, so this isn’t new. Doesn’t make it any less frustrating though. Need to respond this weekend.

        • @Eddie Griffin: better respond or I will have to go back to the doctor’s office for another heart exam… last one was after Bilboa disaster.

        • @Opti: For all of the bad results that we’ve seen this season, we’ve managed to bounce back well, with the exception of following up the Blackburn defeat by losing at Newcastle. I expect a rebound on Sunday…might not be pretty, but we’ll win.

        • @Eddie Griffin: Can you imagine us competing on multiple fronts with this squad. I mean, remove Scholes and Rafael and put in Jones and then we collapse onto ourselves.

Jones needs time with the reserves and coaches… not starts near the end of the season… it’s suicide

  12. Looks like a little bit of focus was lost after the results on Sunday. Pretty pathetic performance so far. Still time to make something happen, but if it doesn’t, good luck to them in the dressing room afterward.

  13. wow glad my stream went out after their goal. we looked to be keeping possession after the subs but to no end squeeky bum time i guess 👿

  14. what is the consensus on their disallowed goal?

couldnt hear commentary and didnt see a foul. might have been the linesman making up for missing the foul that won them the ball and then a corner???

anyway we need 2 midfielders and a striker im afraid to just keep pace with the prem next year. 😥

  15. wow pathetic…always said jones would be found out…he has no tactical acumen..seems so out of his depth…Biggest problem is that because of him our defense was always on the back foot…i mean how many times was Evans screaming for cover…and since we always build our plays from the back we had no rhythm going forward….finally the subs…chico was getting no joy as he was clothes-lined couple of times and then fergie brings out the only striker who cant finish to lead the line solo..ugh…we might be in for a roller coaster finish..

  16. Absolute garbage. Weve been served our fair share of rubbish this season, but that tonight was just horrendous.
Weve been riding our luck for weeks now though, playing not much better than tonight but getting the points. I suppose that only lasts so long.
Blame has to go to fergie at the end of the day. Squeaky bum time an all and he makes changes to the side, leaving out 2 of our best performers the last few weeks in scholes and rafael. Just stupid.

    • @tonymontanna4united: The subs we’re also really poor. Taking off Rooney and Chicharito and in the last 10 minutes using Jones as a striker… J.O.K.E.

We haven’t been horrendous in last few weeks, just BORING, but effective. Today were awful and ineffective and outplayed… our squad is not good enough. Imagine if we had to play ECL too… we would be losing title and champions league games with this team.

      Jones ain’t got that swing.

  17. so they should have never gotten the corner that gave them the goal as jones was never close to touching the ball before it left the pitch and then were denied a stone cold pen, hmmmmm the refs make us pay for the mistakes they made against the rentboys??? 👿 two shit calls for two shit calls. just wish it wasnt always the clubs with billionaire owners that get the special attention…

  18. Another record for fergie this year getting beat by wigan.we’ve set à few embarrasing ones this season.

  19. Un-fucking-believable. One of the most supine, clueless performances I can recall seeing – memories of West Ham 1-2 at OT in 91-92 (for long-term sufferers).

No Scholes. “Rested.” With 5 games to go. What was fergie thinking??

Have tix to OT for Sunday’s game – should have been a sunny romp, now (unless we score in the first 20 and given recent performances at OT that’s hardly likely) it’ll be a grim, tense, wretched affair (like so many late-season games in recent years – recall being at OT for Spurs in 09-10 when we were chasing Chelski, one of the most joyless afternoons I’ve ever had in a football stadium even though we won 3-1).

Deep breath. Still 5 points clear with 5 to go and let’s face it we’d have bitten your hand off for that 2 months ago. No guarantee Shitty can play as carelessly as they did tonight when it might actually matter again. And surely – surely – we can’t play as badly as that again this season.

But equally no reason to think City will hand us as many free points as the last 2 months. Likelihood is 5 points – at best – when we go there on the 30th…2 if we lose (oh, they’ve also got back their GD advantage tonight) and Sunderland away last game…nightmare.

  20. Do we have a fourth striker in case welbeck and chicha make Di Santo look like Drogba? 🙄

    • @AndyCR7: Playing with Welbeck or Hernandez means we’re automatically playing with 10 men. Both are clueless and should be ashamed to call themselves strikers.

  21. Fergie is master in replacing his worst buys with a new one.Anderson was replaced by Berba, then Bebe took his place and now Jones. 👿

  22. We now cannot afford to draw, because doing so would mean City are actually in control of their destiny. A draw means the gap is 3 points, and if they beat us at the Etihad it’s advantage City. Sunderland away is the last game of the season.

I have ran out of insults for this shit shower of a team. Unbelievable.

  23. I’m really pissed off, although i believe we always bounce back. What was Jones and Giggs doing 2day. I think this game was made for Scholesy, Welback and Rafael. The Ginger King on possesion, Welback hustling that Wigan defense and Rafael bombing that right wing together with Tony Valy.

  24. Valencia had a poor game tonight – very ineffective. Young was not much better either. Giggs – well same old I am champion ‘give the ball away Giggsy’. I could take the odd game or two but not every game giving away possession. I said Wigan would be hard game for us and we needed all our best players, but NO just throw the youngsters in. If we have to play the youngsters OK but play them at home not in away games where teams fighting for their lives. Please tell me I am not an idiot when I say why Welbeck is preferred to Berba. What has Berba done wrong – he is far better striker than Welbeck, 20 goals last time he played regularly for us!

      • @Craig Mc: @AndyCR7: Too right fellas. We all get berbas on his way out and doesnt fit the style of this team, but at the minute, playing with hernandez is like playing with 10 men (9 if giggsy is also starting) and welbeck, despite being suited to certain games (of which i believe wigan was one) can be just as ineffective.
So why the hell arent we bringing berba back into the fold. Even as a sub and giving him 10 minutes. The guy isnt even getting on the bench now ffs.
He really deserves better, and quite frankly i think berbas treatment these last few months has been about the worst case of man management ive seen from fergie in his career possibly.
If he had no place in the team, why wasnt he sold in january?
Why wasnt will keane promoted and given a game here and there?
Just seems bloody stupid that at this time in the season, when none of our strikers are firing except for rooney, weve got a perfecly fit and healthy berba, just being left out of the squad entirely for no apparent reason. Just bloody stupid.

  25. Berbatov: 11starts, 8 Sub apps, 9 goals
Welbeck: 25 starts, 11 sub apps, 10 goals
Hernandez: 21 starts, 13 sub apps, 12 goals

Now before anyone says, yes we all know that the majority of berbas goals came against lower placed mediocre sides. But those are exactly the sorts of games where he should have been played in. Blackburn last week, QPR on sunday, last nights game, the villa game on the weekend.
I cant help but feel the guy could offer us rather alot in the coming weeks if he was given the chance. He deserves a shot i say, what with the way welbeck and hernandez have been playing for far too long now.
His reinclusion might even be the shot up the arse those players need to get back to form.
Cant see how it would be anything other than a positive move tbh.
